Testing purposes:
The rattle toy test simulates the capacity of a child’s mouth. Check for suffocation or ingestion hazards that may be caused by toys inserted into children’s mouths.
How to use and understand:
   1. Adjust the toy under test so that the toy is placed in the slot in an orientation that is likely to enter and pass through the slot in the test panel so that the force acting on the toy is its own weight only.
   2. Whether toys with near spherical, hemispherical, or rounded ends can pass through the full depth of the holes in the test template.
   3. If there is a possibility that the toy itself can be stuffed into the mouth of a child, it may cause a suffocation or ingestion hazard. Although the main body of some toys cannot be put into the mouth, the end of the toy still has the danger of blocking the throat and causing suffocation.
Design method:
The ends of toys intended for children 18 months and younger shall be designed to be large enough to not penetrate the (oval) rattle template A and the (round) rattle template B test.
appropriate types:
Squeeze toys, rattle toys, etc. for children 18 months and younger.
